Overview

Olivares & Cia. creates value for companies and international law firms across the globe who have legal needs in Mexico and Latin America. We were founded in 1969 as a boutique Intellectual Property practice and today leverage our specialist experience to offer a full range of corporate and business law services to clients, large or small, from all industries, including many of the Fortune 100 and FTSE 100. Our diverse legal talent helps our clients find the best solutions to identify, clarify, and minimize legal risk for their business matters.

During the last 40 years our Intellectual Property practice has grown into a world-class legal service. Our IP practice receives numerous awards and accolades every year from industry magazines and peer reviews, including being the only firm in Mexico to be voted into ‘Band 1’ and ‘Tier 1’ of Chambers Latin America and Managing IP magazine’s ‘World IP Survey’.

Our success in delivering intellectual property and other corporate legal services in Mexico and across Latin America comes from our firm’s strong culture of forward thinking and a practical approach to solving legal problems. Our partners have proven themselves enthusiastic, talented and highly experienced attorneys with a well-documented track record of delivering results.

Through our intellectual property practice we have developed a vast amount of knowledge and understanding within highly technical industries. It is this industry specific approach that enables our attorneys to address legal matters from a more strategic standpoint than general practice firms. We use this advantage coupled with a dynamic internal structure to offer a truly interdisciplinary one-stop shop for legal services in Mexico.

At Olivares & Cia. we understand our clients’ needs from both a business and a legal perspective and are committed to being prepared, organized, and always available to respond to our clients and their requirements.

Our philosophy is personal service, trust, and true client orientation through industry knowledge. We commit our knowledge, experience, and reputation for excellence to every client who comes to us – individuals, partnerships, small businesses, medium size companies, plus national and "Multi-national" corporations.
