Cesar Ramos, Jr.

César Ramos, Jr. joined Olivares & Cía. in 1994, becoming a partner in 1998. He is the managing partner for Patents. Prior joining Olivares & Cía. Mr. Ramos worked for Telmex, one of the largest telephone and internet companies in the world, and Monsanto, a global provider of technologies and products for the automotive industry and agriculture.

He graduated with honors from Universidad La Salle in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering and a specialization in Electronics. In 1991 he graduated with honors from Instituto Tecnològico Autónomo de México (ITAM) with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). 

Mr. Ramos has served as Vice-President of Asociación Mexicana para la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (AMPPI), and as Mexican delegate for the Licensing Executive Society (LES). He is also an active member of many international organizations related to patent and Intellectual Property Law, particularly the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). 

Mr. Ramos has published articles and papers related to Mexican Patent Law and has been a speaker at national and international conferences. 

Mr. Ramos' work at Olivares & Cia. is extensive, and has ample experience in various areas such as telecommunications, electronics, software, energy, diagnostic and medical devices, consumer products and pharma. He has specialized in protecting Intellectual Property rights in the Patent field. 

He has received personal recommendations from the Guide to the World’s Leading Patent Experts and International Who’s Who.
