Life Science & Pharmaceutical Law Group

Our Life Science & Pharma Law team represents many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical research based manufacturers as well as working with trade associations of the research based industry.

Olivares & Cia. has helped pharmaceutical companies protect and enforce their hard-earned patent and trademark rights for many years. Building from this specific industry know-how we have developed a full practice group dedicated to the needs of the pharma companies involved in the research, development and production of pharmaceuticals.

Our patent group has PhD level pharmacologists and bio-chemists that understand the technical aspects of patenting pharma and biotech goods. We have won numerous awards for patent our work and continue to be a leading force for defending patent owners rights in Mexico.

Our Life Science & Pharma team also advises on the myriad of regulatory constraints pharmaceutical goods need to follow for government and FDA authorizations and licenses to be granted. We help clients secure data package exclusivity rights, labeling and other marketing requirements and we have had success where all other firms have failed in the granting of regulatory authorizations.

It is safe to say that we are the leading force in pharma litigation. Our litigation lawyers have won landmark cases resulting in judgments that will secure $100’s of millions in continued revenues for research based companies in the pharma industry. By taking a dynamic approach to finding new and viable solutions to complex problems we help our clients in developing strategies that provide a competitive advantage, minimize risk, and create new opportunities.

Our Life Science & Pharma industry group is completed by the dedicated corporate attorneys that know what assets are most important to research based pharma and biotech companies and we advise our clients accordingly. The corporate team counsels our pharma clients in mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, tech transfer, patent licensing, contractual and transactional matters.

Our one-stop-shop approach means that world’s largest pharma companies now have the ability to manage all their legal needs under one roof. This enables our clients to reduce legal risk in product portfolios and maintain their competitive advantage in an ever evolving Mexican market.
